Service Information: As at 01 May 12 - There will be no trains services on the Auckland suburban rail network between 02 to 04 Jun 12 for the entire suburban network, due to ongoing upgrading of the network for electrification. Buses will be used on all affected train services * Train services in Wellington are currently operating on the Johnsville, Melling, Hutt & Kapiti lines. There are some disruptions to train services on the Kapiti line with buses replacing some services. Please call Metlink - 0800-701-700 for further information * The Wairarapa Connection train services are operating between Wellington/Featherston/Woodside/Carterton/Masterton * The Capital Connection train service between Wellington/Otaki/Levin/Palmerston Nth is operating * The Overlander Auckland/Hamilton/National Park/Ohakune/Palmerston Nth/Wellington & Wellington/Palmerston Nth/Ohakune/National Park/Hamilton/Auckland train services are operating Friday, Saturday and Sunday until 23 Sep 12. Regional Commuter Train Services -

There is no regular commuter train services from to Auckland to Hamilton or Hamilton to Auckland. 
The Overlander train provides one service per day from Auckland to Hamilton and Hamilton to Auckland.

The Capital Connection and The Wairarapa Connection train services are regional commuter trains, so reservations are not required. Tickets for these trains are available from Tranz Metro ticket office - Wellington Railway Station, Masterton Railway Station, Featherston Railway Station and Palmerston North Railway Station or from the respective Train Manager's on the day of travel.

There are no suburban commuter train/rail services in Christchurch urban region or train services from Christchurch to Nelson, Christchurch to Queenstown, Christchurch to Mt Cook or Christchurch to Dunedin and/or Invercargill.



There are no passenger train/rail services to or from - Paihia (Bay of Islands), Whangarei, Tauranga, Rotorua, Taupo, Gisborne, Napier, Hastings, New Plymouth, Wanganui, Nelson, Hokitika, Dunedin, Mt Cook, Wanaka, Te Anau, Queenstown or Invercargill.
